Synopsis
Matsu, located between Taiwan and China, was once a frontline island.
Prolonged military control turned war into an everyday condition, though it never arrived.Through four generations of women—from fishing villages and wartime female soldiers to a mother and child—the film traces how militarization is passed down within families.

LIN Yi-chi
LIN Yi-chi is a Taipei-based artist, filmmaker, and founder of Toisland Project Films. Working across video art and experimental cinema, she explores diaspora, memory, and history. Her work has screened at IFFR, Melbourne, Arles, and the Gwangju, Jakarta, and Yogyakarta Biennales.
