Synopsis

Four children guide us through a prison visiting room they enter twice a week to see an incarcerated parent. In Belgium, more than 16,000 children have a parent behind bars. I’d Love to See You gives voice to their experiences and the consequences of a situation they never chose.

Sébastien SEGERS

Sébastien SEGERS, Zaïde BIL, and Petronella VAN DER HALLEN met during their studies in the film academy in Brussels. Zaïde and Sébastien became documentary filmmakers, Petronella more in fiction-hybrid, but all focused on themes related to social justice. Since 2023 they have teamed up for two short children's documentaries about children with parents in prison.
