Synopsis
In tribute to Pierre Soulages, Outrenoir is a virtual reality experience that immerses viewers in the painter’s universe. The experience offers a poetic perspective on the artist’s work, like an infinite mirror reflecting the traces he left behind.
Viewers are drawn into Soulages’ world, carried by a continuous movement — between the brilliance of prehistoric caves and the mysteries of the origins of painting. Childhood memories of the artist emerge, and the scale of perspective shifts: at times offering the intimacy of a blended pigment, at others the sweeping view of a vast composition. The master’s gestures become tangible, and the precise moment when the first Outrenoir is born is revealed. Light dances, slipping through stained glass to play with reflections deep within the canvas. With every step, the work comes to life, and spectators become the “Regardeurs,” embodying the intimate fusion between art and the gaze.
A fluid narration, drawn from his writings and numerous interviews — carried by the magnetic voice of Isabelle Huppert — invites viewers on a timeless journey, suspended and free from all constraints.

Gordon
Gordon is a French writer, director, and stage director. He writes and directs multi-award-winning musical films featuring major French orchestras, including The Carnival of the Animals, Antoine's Four Seasons, Peter and the Wolf, Quinte & Sens, and most recently, Ravel in a Thousand Shards.
In parallel, he directs innovative musical shows, notably with the ensemble "Les Apaches," including Street Art presented at the Musée d'Orsay; Rave-l Party, a performance blending Ravel’s masterpieces with contemporary music; and Rideau!, which fuses the works of Erik Satie and John Cage, both staged at the Théâtre du Châtelet. He also directed Indefinito at the Musée du Louvre as part of the Michelangelo and Rodin exhibition.
Since 2018, he has also been designing virtual and augmented reality experiences, largely produced by Lucid Realities, either working independently or collaborating with Agnès Molia and Andres Jarach. Co-directed Van Gogh'Palette and Dance Dance Dance- Matisse with Agnès MOLOA.
