Hello Kitty and friends are here! The Sanrio Virtual Music Festival's 4 interactive VRChat works will be exclusively featured at the Kaohsiung Film Festival in October.

As part of the Kaohsiung Film Festival XR Special Project, "Sanrio Virtual Music Festival," join Hello Kitty and the Little Twin Stars in a cosmic VRChat experience and interact closely with Sanrio stars! The Hello Kitty and Kuromi virtual parade concert will also take place in October at the Kaohsiung Film Festival.

The TTXC 2024 Kaohsiung Film Festival will be held from October 12 (Saturday) to October 27 (Sunday). Today (September 9), the XR Special Project for this year was announced! The festival has invited Sanrio, featuring classic IPs such as Hello Kitty, Pom Pom Purin, Cinnamoroll, and Badtz-Maru, to jointly launch the "XR Festival Asia × Sanrio Virtual Festival Project." There will be 4 adorable and fun interactive VRChat concerts exclusively available at Kaohsiung's "XR DREAMLAND" for the public to enjoy for free, along with an ultra-cute Sanrio star virtual parade event—fans, don't miss out!

Additionally, on October 18 (Friday), the "XR Festival Asia × Sanrio Virtual Festival Project" professional forum will be held, bringing together Kaohsiung Film Festival representative Huang Haojie, Tokyo Beyond the Frame Festival representative Matsuura Katsutoshi, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival representative Boram PARK, Hangzhou Sandbox Immersive Festival representative Jimmy Cheng, and Sanrio representative Hiroki Watanabe, to share their collaboration and development philosophies.

The "XR Festival Asia" was established in 2023, combining the Tokyo Beyond the Frame Festival, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Kaohsiung Film Festival, and Sandbox Immersive Festival, making it the largest XR festival alliance in Asia. This year, it has partnered with the Sanrio Virtual Festival to form the "XR Festival Asia × Sanrio Virtual Festival Project" collaborative VRChat project competition. During the Kaohsiung Film Festival in October, four VRChat works will be showcased, allowing attendees to enter the virtual world and meet famous Sanrio characters, enjoying a joyful experience together.

The 2023 VRChat "Musical Treasure Hunt" seamlessly combines music and adventure, presenting a dazzling virtual parade featuring Sanrio characters. In this spectacular event, beloved classic characters such as Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars, Pom Pom Purin, Cinnamoroll, as well as the recently popular Kuromi will all make their appearances. The brilliant lighting effects mesmerize the audience, while the lively melodies naturally compel them to sway and dance, immersing them in this enchanting music.

Three new VRChat productions for 2024 are being launched, with the dream-themed "Dreamin' a Dream" guiding participants into a vibrant world full of excitement and thrills, celebrating a virtual parade driven by Sanrio characters. On a stage adorned with a red curtain, Hello Kitty elegantly plays the grand piano, and with each beat of the music, the scene shifts dramatically, showcasing streets, rooms, towering trees, and colorful candy houses, along with serene crystal clouds. As the magical door slowly opens, participants will join Hello Kitty in an enchanting dream, experiencing extraordinary imagination.

The virtual band under Sanrio, "SHOWBYROCK!! Mashumairesh!!", brings forth an original VR concert titled "Maybe Miraculous Resonating Sounds". This story unfolds around a group of simultaneously ordinary and unique girls, as four dazzling figures display an unbeatable youthfulness in their band performance. Their adorable cat ears and tails make them irresistibly charming, inspiring audiences to sway and sing along with the music!

In a sparkling universe, "Twinkle Guardians" features Hello Kitty and the Little Twin Stars in a shining appearance, inviting everyone to follow in their footsteps and work together to protect the future. Fully equipped experiences will join them in clearing various space debris, enjoying an exhilarating starlit shooting show that fills every moment with adventure, intellect, and fun!
