Gus VAN SANT’s body of work includes many hallmarks of 90s independent cinema, notably Drugstore Cowboy (1989), My Own Private Idaho (1991), and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues (1993). He directed Nicole KIDMAN in To Die For (1995), Sean PENN in Milk (2008), and received a Best Director Academy Award nomination for Good Will Hunting (1997).
