Synopsis

Seventeen-year-old Flora lives with her parents in a small Austrian village. She enjoys going to a dancing school, though she usually sits by herself unasked to dance. In secret she romanticizes for Attila, a self-confident, good-looking young man who also is a great dancer.

Jessica HAUSNER

Jessica HAUSNER was born in Vienna, Austria in 1972. She studied directing at the Film Academy of Vienna, where she made the award-winning short films Flora (1996) and Inter-View (1999). In 2001, her debut feature , Lovely Rita, premiered at Cannes’ Un Certain Regard. She returned to Un Certain Regard with her second feature, Hotel in 2004. In 2009, Lourdes won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Venice Film Festival. Amour Fou was her third film to be presented in Un Certain Regard, premiering in 2014. Little Joe is her fifth feature and her English-language debut.
