Synopsis
After the first two standalone cinemas in Siam Square—Siam and Lido—closed their doors for good, Scala became the last standalone cinema in Bangkok that remained operating until it was defeated by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The building was eventually demolished in 2021. In its last days, the director, who is also the daughter of one of the cinema's former employees, began her final exploration of Scala and unexpectedly faced her long-forgotten childhood memories when she met her father's old friends as they gathered for their final mission: dismantling their workplace.
